Designed exclusively by Coverstore, our Covermates Select Max fabric is one of the thickest, most protective composite nonwovens available. There are several advantages to our Select Max. First is the ability to act as sunblock for the delicate finish of your vehicle as well as the interior. We've all seen the faded roof, bed and hood areas of cars, trucks, and SUVs that have been exposed to year after year of intense sun. Our Select Max material will keep that from happening and also keep the interior of your vehicle cooler by up to 30 degrees!

Breathability is extremely important to the health of your vehicle. Moisture finds its way under or through any material, regardless of how well the fabric is made. When that happens, the moisture needs a way to evaporate out. "Waterproof" car cover fabrics simply don't allow that to happen. Rest assured, Select is fully breathable and will provide an exit path for trapped moisture from heat and condensation.

Another advantage of a heavier cover is the ability to stay on your vehicle. Select Max is especially suited for situations where your vehicle will be stored outside in the elements for an extended period of time. With Select Max, you also won't have to worry about those little run-ins your vehicle may have with falling debris from trees, the next door neighbor’s cat, scratches or dings from a child’s bicycle, etc. There's definitely enough padding in this cover to protect against many common outdoor situations.

Select Max’s soft fleece inner lining will protect your vehicle finish by offering a soft cushion between the paint surface and the vehicle cover.

Technically, Select Max is a soft 5-layer nonwoven composite. The top two layers act as a barrier to the outside and the third layer is a micro porous film that keeps moisture out but still allows vapor from generated heat and condensation to escape. The inner layer, which comes in contact with your car, is a soft fleece-like polypropylene that protects the vehicle’s finish.

Caring for Your Covermates Select MaxCar Cover

It's important to clean and maintain your Select Max car cover for optimal performance. By cleaning your cover, you will be preventing "fogging" on your vehicle's windows.

For machine wash, insert the cover in the washer and add ¼ cup laundry detergent into washer after it has filled with warm water. Rinse the cover twice to be sure all detergent is removed. Allow cover to air dry before placing back on vehicle or storing.

To keep your cover looking and performing its best we suggest following these cleaning tips:

  • Always remove the washer's agitator before washing your Select Max car cover
  • Do not use a fabric softener on a Select Max car cover
  • Air dry only

A Select Max car cover can be hand washed while it is on your vehicle. Mix an ounce of mild dishwashing liquid per quart of warm water. Spray or sponge soapy water onto cover and clean with sponge or soft bristle brush. Rinse with plain water until no suds are evident and allow to air dry. Store away once completely dry.

Important Note: No cover is completely waterproof.

Car covers are designed with various levels of water-resistance while still being breathable to provide a maximum amount of protection for your vehicle. If your vehicle is exposed to harsh elements such as constant moisture or snow, or is covered outside for long periods at a time, trapped moisture can occur which can sometimes cause the painted surface to appear cloudy.

We recommend that you remove your cover periodically to check for any evidence of moisture. If moisture is present, we suggest allowing the surface of your vehicle to completely dry before putting your cover back on or storing away.
